Program Description

Event Details

Our Homeschool Hangout meets the 1st Thursday of each month. Topics vary each month and cover everything from STEAM to guest speakers. All ages are invited to participate, though programming is targeted toward middle elementary grades.

We're thrilled to welcome Sara Patton, a graduate student from Auburn University, who will be presenting an engaging and educational session all about birds. Sara's research focuses on carotenoid (red/yellow) coloration in birds, and she'll be sharing fascinating insights into how these vibrant colors impact bird behavior and survival. Whether you're curious about local species or the science behind their striking hues, Sara’s expertise promises a fun and informative experience for students of all ages. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to learn from a passionate expert! Mark your calendars and bring your questions—this is sure to be a feathered-filled afternoon of discovery!
