Be part of history at your local library!

To celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the Harris County Public Library, we’re inviting the entire community to help us create a special Time Capsule that will be buried right here at the library and opened 25 years from now. This is a unique opportunity to capture a snapshot of life today and mark 125 years of stories, learning, and community.

Throughout March, bring small pictures, letters, or notes to the front desk to be included. Share a favorite memory, a message to the future, a drawing, or a photo that captures this moment in time.

Guidelines:

  • Items must be flat
  • Must fit within 4" x 4" paper (or smaller)

The capsule will be buried on March 31st, so don’t miss your chance to leave your mark as we celebrate 125 years and look ahead to the next 25.
