Purpose of Meeting

Youth, Parents, and Community Members,
You’re invited to participate in the EmpowerED Youth Listening Sessions; a space created to elevate youth voices and listen to real experiences.
EmpowerED Youth is a peer-driven program of Bethany Christian Services serving youth ages 12–18 in Troup and Meriwether counties. The program focuses on prevention and awareness of behavioral health and substance use concerns, creating space for honest conversations beyond oversimplified messages like “drugs are bad” or “you’re just sad.” EmpowerED Youth encourages young people to become change agents in their communities while supporting those interested in future careers in behavioral health.
The Listening Sessions are the first step in shaping this work and will bring together youth, parents, and community members to share perspectives and help guide the program.
Whether you are a young person, a parent or caregiver, or a community partner, your voice matters.
Please see the attached flyer for session dates and more information.
We hope you’ll join us.
